Underwater, No One Can Hear You Scream

Frankly, I thought I had posted this a long time ago, but I can't find it anywhere on the blog.

I first saw this video a few years ago, and it was what got me actually excited for youtube. That, and all those Attitudes re-runs.

Enjoy.

Also? Two Nicks of Time

The Nicks Update One:

We sure had fun seeing The Nicks last night. There were many highlights, and most of them revolved around the Fellowship.

Here we are in Rich People Sports Bar getting our drink on before the game.

Diana got a fancy lady drink at the sports bar:

Amber is holding up our tickets so you can see how expensive they were.

The Nicks Update Two:

The Nicks - the other one - is doing press this week for her new CD/DVD.

First, she had this to say about the Spears:

Fleetwood Mac front-woman Stevie Nicks is not, apparently, a fan of Britney Spears. "You have to pay your dues to be a real rock star," Nicks said yesterday. "It's different in that Britney did not join a band when she was 18 and practice every day for five hours Monday through Friday and then play gigs Friday, Saturday and Sunday."

Then in today's paper, she said this about the Lohan:

Lindsay Lohan hopes to buy the rights to her life story and to play her on film. Unmoved, Ms. Nicks responded: “Over my dead body. She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then maybe we’ll talk.”

I sure like all of the Nicks.

Fear Street

One of the fun things David and I did in South Carolina was visit Alligator Island. This was a little island off the coast of America, and we got there by taking a 30 minute ferry ride. I was a bit anxious before the trip that I would get seasick like I always do, but I didn't. My seasickness seems limited to catamarans.

We were mostly excited to visit some Friends and/or Foes. Here at Internals Plural, we're always on the lookout for our reptilian comrades.

First we found this one. I am doing some sort of approximation/cartoon-version of fear in the photo. The little beasty was sleeping and clearly wasn't very interested in us. Still, pretty impressive. Friend.
Now this bastard decided he was going to sunbathe in the road. He didn't seem very interested in stepping aside for us to resume our journey, so we had to take an alternate route. That is true fear I am expressing, as I was trying to bravely inch closer, like Joan Crawford towards Trog. Foe.

Some wiseacre told us that the gators can run up to 30 mph. We figured we'd have to clock in at 35 mph to outrun them.

Secretly, I knew if it came down to it, I'd just trip David and scoot along on my own. Surely the gator would only want one of us, right? I guess that makes me more Foe than Friend.

God Bless, Friends and Foes.

Giving The Thanks

On Thanksgiving, I like to give thanks for the things in the past year that are Good.

These things include Zach, shown here with a Friend (Foe?) in a Face Bite Show Down.

Shark Eyes!

One awesome thing we did in SF was go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We got to see a Great White, which are very rare in captivity. Sarah and Doug and I saw a different Great White when we went in 2004, but Tyler had never seen one. They are definitely Foes, but the fascinating kind, like that other great San Francisco foe, May Day.

Another fish we saw was Ugly Fish. He was so ugly it made me uncomfortable, but that's OK.

Friends and/or Foes!

The polls have closed on our first ever international poll (thanks Shelley!) and it turns out Alligators are our friends, by a narrow margin of 4 to 3.

Here are some of our friends and foes. Do you know which is which?

Kevin took this one in Africa.

Foe - From Shelley, in New Zealand.

Colleen took this one in Costa Rica.

I don't know where this one came from, but I sure hope it's a Friend.

Jen sent in this one. Again, hopefully a friend, since it goes around your neck.

Zach took this one of his Pop-Pop with a Friend.

The final result? Polls are fun!
