Giving Thanks, Past-Style
I have done a lot of things on Thanksgiving, but one time I did stuff with Colleen.
In what must have been 1999, I went to visit her in her first Grown-Up Apartment, in Philadelphia. We made a massive feast together, and photo-documented it for our friend Timmy, who at the time was in Mali, in the Peace Corps, and had only eaten some sort of corn gruel for six months and had probably only gone to the bathroom once in that time.
Here's Colleen putting the finishing touches on our candied yams:
And here's me, in a shirt I had stolen from Timmy back in college, proudly displaying some sort of delicious looking dessert.
God Bless America, and all our Feasts and Friends. I sure am Thankful for these things.

9 to 5, 5 Years Running
So, I work for a large corporation, which is part of a larger corporation. Let's call it Scheinhart Wigs.
Anyway, it's 2009 Q1, so when my boss said to me "I've got something for you" and handed me a big envelope, I panicked and fainted. Not really, but I could have.
I did though feel like fainting when I realized that instead of a Laid Off Employees Guide To Crummy Benefits, it was my Five Year Anniversary Certificate. Where did the time go? I proudly displayed it on my shelf next to a stuffed sheep I once found.
This package also came with a gift catalog, which I get to go through and can choose one (1) item.
Any suggestions? I've been told the alarm clock doesn't work. I'm not sure what I would do with matching griddles, or a demitasse set. I have two flower vases already; they're filled with corks.
The food chopper? The pretty bowl?

Giving Merci
Whew! David and I made it back in one piece (Well, two pieces if you count us as discrete individuals) from Canada.
While my feeble head, with significantly fewer brain cells in it than when I left America on Sunday, tries to process and remember all the good times I had, I also have all these good times to look forward to. Why? Because in just a few hours Amber and I are having Thanksgiving Awesome Club.
What luck I have to have all this Friendship and Awesomeness in my life. That, my friends, is what I give thanks for today. That, and Kitty Cats.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Giving The Thanks
On Thanksgiving, I like to give thanks for the things in the past year that are Good.
These things include Zach, shown here with a Friend (Foe?) in a Face Bite Show Down.
