What A Swell Party
Anyone else remember this? It's how I discovered Cole Porter. 1990.

Amber had this on cassette. That's where I first heard it. Somehow I still didn't discover Cole Porter until years later.
Great album! I would pretend I was a lounge singer named Lisa. Lisa Stansfield, that is. Still don't know what a pet palliated gown is, tho.
That's my favorite version of this song and my favorite thing Lisa Stansfield has ever done (and I sure like a lot of what she's done).
I think I shall go ask a librarian what pet-paillated is. This is my task for the week.
